U.S. retaliated against Iranian spy group's cyberstrike

Drilling for oil

Iran will respond firmly to any United States threat against it, the semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported on Saturday, citing foreign ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi.

Commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (AFAGIR), Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, said that the U.S. drone's wreckage "is an [evidence] of the United States encroachment on Iran's airspace territory".

"However, we told the Omani official that any attack against Iran will have regional and worldwide consequences", the official added.

Tehran said the unarmed Global Hawk surveillance drone was on a spy mission over its territory, but Washington said it was shot down over worldwide airspace.

Oil prices soared more than five percent on Thursday after Iran shot down a United States military drone, raising fears of a military confrontation between Tehran and Washington.

Iranian officials have turned up their rhetoric after President Donald Trump acknowledged on June 21 that he came within minutes of executing military strikes against Iran in retaliation for the shooting down of a U.S. Navy drone.

"Regardless of any decision they (U.S. officials) make. we will not allow any of Iran's borders to be violated".

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

Pompeo stated on June 13 that Iran was responsible for the attacks against the two oil tankers, one Norwegian owned, and the other one Japanese owned.

The Department of Homeland Security said in a statement released Saturday that its agency tasked with infrastructure security has been aware of a recent rise in malicious cyber activities directed at USA government agencies by Iranian regime actors and proxies.

Jean Carroll accuses President Trump of sexual assault in 1990s
She said she has been reluctant to come forward until now out of fear of "being dismissed, being dragged through the mud". She said Trump recognized her from television and asked her advice on buying a present.

In comments likely to inflame tensions, Salami said that Iran does "not want war with any country, but we are completely, and totally, ready and prepared for war".

The Iranian diplomat said in his letter, the drone "conducted an overflight through the Strait of Hormuz to Chabahar port in a full stealth mode as it had turned off its identification equipment and engaged in a clear spying operation". While Washington blamed Tehran for the tanker attacks, Iran denied any role. Some other global airlines are taking related precautions.

"Iranians will meet diplomacy with diplomacy, respect with respect and war with zealous defence", he said.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel called on Saturday for a political resolution of the crisis, adding: "That is what we are working on". It earlier sent an aircraft carrier group and B-52 strategic bombers to the region.

"Iran can NEVER have Nuclear Weapons, not against the U.S., and not against the WORLD!"

Iran has previously been accused of targeting USA drones.

Iran has said it will violate the agreement by producing more enriched uranium than the deal allows if the European signatories do not find a way for it to access oil revenues by next Thursday.

The demand-side outlook has also improved, with appetite for risk assets rising after the European and the USA central banks signalled possible rate cuts this week.

Jalal Hajizavar had left his post nine years ago and was convicted by a military court after an investigation which discovered documents and spying equipment at his home, the report said.
