Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel in Development for Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has revealed it is working on a sequel to the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, one of the best-selling games for its Switch console.

The news was announced during the company's E3 2019 press conference with a short teaser trailer.

And finally, the teaser for the sequel to Breath of the Wild appeared to show Zelda and Link adventuring together on the day that Hyrule died. There's no name or timeframe for the game's development or release, but it's in the works! The trailer showed Link and Zelda exploring a dungeon where a skeleton started to come to life.

As far as Breath of the Wild goes, that's all it really takes to get us pumped. It was announced on the heels of new Link's Awakening footage and news about Super Smash Bros. additions. The first one is The Hero from Dragon Quest.

Demon x Machina for the Switch will be released for the Switch on September 13, 2019.

The remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening will land on the Switch on September 20.
