A lucky lottery player in California was the sole victor of the $530 million Mega Millions jackpot for the drawing held on June 7.

The estimated jackpot of $530 million or $345.2 million in cash was the largest prize since October's $1.5 billion jackpot, lottery officials said. The Megaplier was 3x.

It is the seventh-largest jackpot in the history of the game.

He claimed his prize on Tuesday and chose to take home the cash option of $223 million. Of course, he won $1M. Since then, 24 twice-weekly drawings have been held without a jackpot victor. It's also the first Mega Millions jackpot of the year to jump above the half-billion dollar mark. Since then, 24 twice-weekly drawings have been held without a jackpot victor and there have been 36 second-prize tickets sold worth at least $1 million, lottery officials said.
