'Bond 25' production 'halted after Daniel Craig suffers injury on set'

Bond 25 filming 'suspended as Daniel Craig injures his ankle filming 007 role'

The new Bond movie has reportedly been put on ice to allow Daniel Craig to recover from an ankle injury.

The insider went on to state that the actor was in duress and complained of ankle pain.

'As you'd expect he was also pretty angry that it had happened.

The production was set to move to Pinewood Studios in London over the weekend, but it was cancelled. "He threw his suit jacket on the ground in sheer frustration", said the source. The actor had two teeth knocked out during his first stunt scene for his Bond debut in Casino Royale; sustained a number of injuries, including slicing off the tip of a finger and tearing a shoulder muscle on his next, Quantum of Solace and injuring his knee during a fight scene for his most recent Spectre.

The Hollywood actor was reportedly flown to the U.S. so he could be examined by the same surgeon who treated England soccer star Harry Kane earlier this year.

Helmed by Cary Fukunaga (Maniac), the film will open with James, not on active duty at MI6, kicking back in sunny Jamaica.

While shooting for one of the last scenes in Jamaica for Bond 25, Daniel Craig aka James Bond injured his ankle severely which led to the shoot being stalled.

Other new additions include Ana De Armas, Lashana Lynch, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen, and Dali Benssalah; returning cast members include Lea Seydoux, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Naomi Harris, and Ralph Fiennes.

James Bond 25 is scheduled to be released in theaters on 8, April 2020.

Last month, it was revealed that Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody) would be taking up the post of the movie's central villain.
