Police open fire in attack on Ukraine's London embassy

Police were forced to open fire on a vehicle after it rammed the parked car of Ukraine’s ambassador in London

London police have fired gunshots at a man who rammed into a diplomatic vehicle parked outside Ukraine's Embassy, and then tried to drive into officers.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and taken to a central London hospital as a precaution.

Meanwhile, some Twitter users said the scene had been cleared up and that no one was injured.

Police "discharged firearms" and sealed off a street in the western Holland Park area of London after a reported confrontation with a vehicle near the Ukrainian Embassy. Police say the man's actions were not related to extremism. The media outlet noted, citing witnesses, that at least 10 shots had been fired.

Officers attempted to block the vehicle, then fired shots with Tasers and live bullets after the Mercedes again drove into Galibarenko's auto - and also into police - at about 10am yesterday.
