Facebook goes down and people are taking to Twitter to complain

This article, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp down worldwide: Singapore, Manila, Bangkok among those hit, originally appeared on Coconuts, Asia's leading alternative media company. Either users couldn't access the platform, or their feeds refused to refresh.

Facebook Inc, which owns and operates all three services, has yet to comment on the disruption. The USA, India, Malaysia, Thailand, and South-American countries are also having problems with social networking apps and website.

People took to Twitter to report the outages, with #WhatsAppDown, #InstagramDown and #FacebookDown trending in Pakistan and across the globe.

This is the latest outage ever since Facebook faced its biggest one last month.

Downdetector.co.uk reported over 4700 complaints that Facebook was down in the United Kingdom with the outage beginning at about 10am this morning.

There aren't any official announcements from Facebook just yet.
