Malcom Brown signing with Saints after four years with Patriots

Saints signing former Patriots defensive tackle Malcom Brown

Brown, 6-2, 320, comes to New Orleans after spending his first four National Football League seasons (2015-18) with the New England Patriots.

This move doesn't answer the question of who will fill in for Sheldon Rankins and David Onyemata at the three-technique defensive tackle spot next to Brown, but it does solidify the line.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network first reported the signing, and Nick Underhill of the Advocate confirmed it.

Brown, the Patriots' first-round pick at No. 32 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft, played in all but four games over the course of four seasons with New England.

India to host 2020 Under-17 Women's World Cup
The women's under-17 World Cup has 16 nations and Das had said that they can host matches at "just four cities". India will host the U-17 Women's World Cup in 2020, FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced on Friday.

Last season, he appeared in 15 games and had 39 combined tackles and one fumble recovery.

While the Saints are surely thrilled to be adding more starting-caliber quality and depth at a position of weakness on their roster, the Patriots probably aren't exactly lamenting Brown's departure. He served as an effective run-stuffer, but never developed into the pass-rusher New England thought he could be when the team selected him.

The 6-foot-2, 320-pound Brown could be a replacement for nose tackle Tyeler Davison.

Maybe he'll have better luck in the Big Easy.
