Sen. Lindsey Graham Calls for a Special Counsel to Investigate FBI, DOJ

FBI agent Peter Strzok testifies before the House Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform Committees

Page, who served as a special counsel to former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, has been criticized by Republicans for exchanging texts with Peter Strzok (a former FBI counterintelligence official) that were critical of Trump.

But more important, and perhaps more damning in an honest nation's capital, was Page's assertion that a probe into Clinton's "gross negligence" regarding her clandestine home email server was quashed by the Obama administration. Strzok was dismissed from Robert Mueller's team once the text messages were uncovered by internal investigations.

Earlier this month, Rep. Douglas A. Collins (R-Ga.), the House Judiciary Committee's ranking Republican, also released the transcript of an August interview with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, who had contact with the author of a controversial dossier - partially funded by Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee - alleging that Trump had personal and financial ties in Russian Federation. Again, it's worth noting that most of the meatier coverage came from Trump-friendly outlets like Fox News.

John Ratcliffe (R-TX) posted a transcript excerpt of Page's 2018 July testimony to social media in which she made the explosive admission to him. Republican lawmakers have pointed to the messages as evidence of political bias inside the bureau.

Ben Affleck Doesn't Care If You Hate His Back Tattoo
During his chat with DeGeneres, Affleck also opened up about his current state, explaining that he's feeling good. OK, in that instance we're pretty sure he's alluding to his rehab for alcohol abuse and not the tattoo.

This entire investigation into Clinton was sparked by the fact that she had used a private email server during her time serving as secretary of state.

Precisely what "decision" Trump is referencing is unclear.

"I am aware of senior Federal Bureau of Investigation officials talking to subordinate Federal Bureau of Investigation officials on the Hillary Clinton investigative team who unquestionably had anti-Hillary sentiment, but who also said: 'You have to get her, or - again I don't have an exact quote - but like we're counting on you, you know, '" Page testified. Notably, Page also said that the DOJ had "multiple conversations ... about charging gross negligence", but decided that "they did not feel they could sustain a charge" because they considered the term "constitutionally vague". He said under oath the FBI investigative team unanimously believed Clinton shouldn't be prosecuted.
