Michael Bennett On New England Trade: "I Used To Hate The Patriots"

Michael Bennett

As part of his introductory interview with Patriots.com, Bennett revealed that he used to be a Patriots hater, but now his viewpoint has changed.

"I used to hate the Patriots", Bennett acknowledged.

Philadelphia receives a fifth-round pick in 2020 from the Patriots and in exchange New England gets defensive end Michael Bennett and a seventh-round pick in 2020.

This will be Bennett's fourth National Football League team and he discussed what joining a new team is like. "I hated it because they would win so much". I hated because Tom Brady's hair was long.

Real Madrid will NOT make move for this reason
Asked if Zidane's return to Madrid makes Hazard's exit this summer more likely, Sarri replied: "You have to ask Hazard, I think". Hazard has in the past publicly acknowledged he idolised Zidane growing up, making his desire to play under the Frenchman known.

Bennett even managed to hate the Patriots while his brother, Martellus, was winning a Super Bowl with the team. "I love Tom Brady's hair", Bennett said according to ESPN. I hated that Belichick would wear sweaters. "I think I love that". It's just about doing what you need to do to get to where we want to go as a group.

That being said, Michael still holds some resentment toward Martellus for winning Super Bowl LI with the Patriots. Still, Michael's opinion of the Patriots didn't improve, even after a ringing endorsement from his own family member. "I was the brother that was the world champ and he took that from me".

The Patriots officially announced the acquisition of the 33-year-old Bennett on Thursday, although terms of the trade had been agreed upon late last week. It may take more than an Instagram comment from Brady to lure him back.
