Bears to sign safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

After Adrian Amos left to join the division rival, Ryan Pace is signing a former Packer to replace him, agreeing to a one-year deal with Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Amos helped the Bears boast the NFL's top pass defense in 2018.

Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

Clinton-Dix, a first-round pick of the Packers in 2014, was traded to the Washington Redskins at the trade deadline last season.

Clinton-Dix earned consensus All-American recognition at Alabama in 2013, when he had a freshman teammate at cornerback named Eddie Jackson. In nine games with the Redskins, Clinton-Dix had 66 tackles.

Ethiopian Airlines flight to Nairobi crashes with 157 people on board
According to Swedish flight-tracking website flightradar24, the passenger jet "had unstable vertical speed" before it crashed. An Ethiopian Airlines flight crashed today, with 149 passengers and eight crew members onboard.

In his five National Football League seasons, Clinton-Dix has 456 tackles, 14 interceptions, 28 passes broken-up, 5.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Clinton-Dix was a Pro Bowler in 2016.

Last season, Clinton-Dix had 27 tackles and three interceptions with three pass deflections in the first seven games of the year for the Packers before being dealt to Washington on October 30th.

The good news with Clinton-Dix is that he's young (26), durable (never missed a game) and capable of producing turnovers (11 interceptions in the past three seasons).
