Trump administration unveils order to prioritise and promote AI

The aim of the new initiative is to boost AI development and funding in the USA and also to ensure that America is a leader when it comes to helping shape global artificial intelligence policies.

This initiative, which will elevate federal funding for AI research and support USA -led AI global standards, doesn't contain new AI development funding or additional details on next steps, The Verge reported.

"Maintaining American leadership in AI requires a concerted effort to promote advancements in technology and innovation, while protecting American technology, economic and national security, civil liberties, privacy, and American values and enhancing worldwide and industry collaboration with foreign partners and allies", the Monday executive order reads.

President Donald Trump will push AI with an executive order Monday, several outlets reported. America is a bit late to the game when it comes to government action, falling behind countries like China, Canada, and France who have pledged millions of dollars and jobs to foster research and innovation.

The White House says President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order Monday promoting artificial intelligence. The administration says it's up to Congress to appropriate money.

He finished three shots behind Graeme McDowell in 2010, the last US Open at Pebble. "I'll deal with that in six months". Mickelson argued that he could "see just fine" on Sunday evening, moments after sunset with two holes remaining.

The initiative also allows federal agencies to offer more data, models, and computing resources to the country's AI researchers and industries.

The plan, called the American AI Initiative, is meant to enhance national and economic security and improve Americans' quality of life. It aims to set guidelines to ensure the new technologies are trustworthy.
