Virgil van Dijk requires 'constant injections' to play for Liverpool, says Koeman

Naby Keita- Naby Keita joins Liverpool's growing injury list after limping out of Africa Cup of Nations qualifier

While there is yet to be official word on the extent of injuries to Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, with Sadio Mane's name now being added to Liverpool's injury list, Jurgen Klopp will be even more frustrated with the worldwide break than usual.

"Virgil has played a couple of weeks with two broken ribs", Koeman told reporters.

Koeman said at a news conference on Monday that he believed Van Dijk would be fit for Liverpool's trip to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Van Dijk scored the opening goal as the Dutch beat Germany 3-0 on Saturday in the Nations League.

'He wanted to play against Germany and you have to give that club something back now'.

Van Dijk has been impeccable at the back for the Reds this season and has played a major role in the side, fixing their previously leaky defence.

Red Sox pull even with Astros in ALCS
Cole was of course outstanding during the regular season, but he wasn't entirely unfamiliar with first-inning fits and starts. Marwin Gonzalez homered for the Astros , who had won five straight postseason games dating to Game 7 of the 2017 Series.

Sadio Mane has become the latest Liverpool player to sustain an injury while on worldwide duty after suffering a hand injury with Senegal, although an official diagnosis has yet to be provided.

'He's taken a rest.

"He's ready to play next weekend, yes".

Milner was substituted during the goalless draw against Manchester City just before the worldwide break and was expected to miss the rest of the month to a hamstring injury.

The 30-year-old has stepped up his training in recent weeks, choosing to remain behind rather than travel with the squad for the Champions League match with Napoli earlier this month, to ensure he is ready for when the Premier League season resumes.
