Love Eurovision? Literally Anyone Can Now Apply To Represent Australia

Australia Decides will be hosted by Joel Creasey and Myf Warhurst

EUROVISION wannabes, listen up.

SBS has announced a new format to select Australia's representing artist and song for the Eurovision Song Contest.

It is also noted that the cost of processing the Bulgarian participant in the contest, including the creation of the song, her stage performance and production of the corresponding video clip, and other related preparatory activities significantly exceed reasonable amounts, which would afford company.

A talented performer and one song will be selected to represent Down Under in the annual competition, which will be held in Israel next year.

SBS has announced the first ever Australian decider will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre over two nights in February, with the public able to vote on which song and artist will represent our country at the global song contest on in Tel Aviv in May.

The lucky victor will be determined by a vote from a jury and members of the public, and will be hosted by comedian Joel Creasey alongside radio host Myf Warhurst, 45.

"As our country's passion for Eurovision continues to grow, we are inundated by fans wanting to have their say in choosing who represents Australia on the world's biggest stage".

Speaking to SBS on Sunday, the 28-year-old Take Me Out host said: 'I can't wait to be part of the first ever Eurovision selection show in the Southern Hemisphere and find the next Aussie classic.

"It's over to you Australia - let's give Europe our best". The country saw a reversal of fortune in the contest after it returned to the competition in 2016, qualifying to the Grand Final three years in a row ( 2016, 2017, 2018).
