Aaron Ramsey: Wales midfielder does not want early Arsenal exit

Arsenal players celebrate with Ramsey after third goal at Fulham

Aaron Ramsey will be the subject of a transfer tug of war with Liverpool and Manchester United ready to battle for his signature, according to reports.

Ramsey is attracting interest from a host of top clubs across Europe, which speaks for the impressive reputation that the Welsh star has built over the past decade at Arsenal.

United failed in 2008 to sign Ramsey ahead of Arsenal and saw an approach for the Welshman knocked back last summer. But after his failed talks of renewal, it seems Arsenal are willing to break the loyalty of 10 years.

Arsenal have a made the right move to withdraw their contract offer for Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey has become the latest big-name player who has let their contract run down at Arsenal in order to secure a well-paid move to a rival club. It's believed a recent input from head coach Unai Emery was the reason behind Arsenal's withdrawal. But Ramsey announced that his intention of staying at the club until the season ends.

Pik Botha: Key figure in South Africa's apartheid dies
In April 1977, he was appointed minister of foreign affairs and represented the constituency of Westdene in Johannesburg. Mr Botha's son, Piet, confirmed to South African media that his father had died during the night.

"Would I stay for the rest of the season?"

The Wales international's future is uncertain at the north London side given the versatile midfielder hasn't committed to a new contract at Arsenal. "I am going to do my best now this season to try and achieve something special".

But Manchester United are also keen on signing the midfielder, according to the Evening Standard, with Ramsey ready to snub a move overseas to remain in the UK.

Asked whether he would give Ramsey a new deal, Wenger replied: "We tried that before and it still can happen".

The player has now returned to full-contact training with his Arsenal teammates, and is therefore expected to be available for the club's next Premier League game against Leicester City on October 22.
