Reality star Kim Kardashian has been named the most unsafe celebrity to search for online in the United Kingdom in 2018 by cybersecurity firm McAfee.

McAfee said cybercriminals are known to use the allure of celebrities to try to trick internet users into clicking on links which lead to malicious sites used to install malware or steal personal information and passwords.

Online interest in Rose recently increased when it was announced she will play Batwoman in the upcoming CW series.

This combination photo shows, top row from left, Ruby Rose, Kristin Cavallari, Marion Cotillard, Lynda Carter, Rose Byrne, bottom row from left, Debra Messing, Kourtney Kardashian, Amber Heard, Kelly Ripa and Brad William Henke who are likely to land users on websites that carry viruses or malware.

If you're looking up the latest on Kim Kardashian-West's drama with her sisters or her response to Kanye West's Twitter rants then beware.

Treyarch preview brand new 'Militia' multiplayer map in Black Ops 4
The map was early teased in the trailer itself, so fans have been waiting for this official announcement to clear all doubts. Firing Range is a map from the first game as well, and it is set in a military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Last year the list was topped by Avril Lavigne but this year there is some slightly good news for all those Lav-heads out there because she's dropped down to McAfee's number thirty most unsafe.

Apart from the two, actresses Marion Cotillard, Lynda Carter and Rose Byrne were also among the top five celebrities whose name searches can result into fans clicking sketchy links.

The rest of the top risky celebs are Debra Messing at number six, Kourtney Kardashian at number seven, Amber Heard at number eight, Kelly Ripa at number nine and actor Brad William Henke at number 10.

"It's important for consumers to think before they click to be sure that they are landing on safe digital content and protecting themselves from cybersecurity threats that may be used to infect their devices or steal their identity", Davis said.

The Australian deposes last year's most unsafe celeb, Avril Lavigne. Adele was ranked at No 21, meanwhile followed Shakira is at No 27.
