Grungy, taped-up designer sneakers sell for $530

The brand chose to display these shoes on an American retail chain Nordstrom and let us warn you the shoe may look cheap but in reality these pairs are being sold for $530 which is a whopping Rs. 38,000. No matter, they have done the (literal) dirty work for you.

One person called the shoes "another piece of fashion that looks like something I was made fun of for having to do", adding: 'Must be nice, thinking being poor is fashionable'.

The Golden Goose sneakers, dubbed the "Superstar Taped Sneaker", boast "Crumply, hold-it-all-together tape" and "a grungy rubber cupsole".

The sneakers, which were created by the luxury fashion brand Golden Goose, feature mock tape around the shoe's toes, making it look as though they were so distressed the owner didn't have any other option but to tape them back together haphazardly.

A quick check on Golden Goose official website done by Business Times found that the company relies heavily on the "distress fashion trend" with most of its products.

Russia Hatched Plan To Help Assange Escape London Last Year
US President Donald Trump faces an investigation into whether his campaign colluded with Russian Federation to win that election. Details emerged about the incident through a letter from the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry to a legislator.

Some other Twitter users also reiterated that the brand had been designing shoes like this for years.

The brand has flagship stores in New York, Paris, London, Milan, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, Beirut, St. Tropez, and Amsterdam.

At least that's according to plenty of shoppers who are sharing their anger on social media in response to a pair of shoes being sold on Nordstrom's site for $530.

The "Superstar Tape Sneaker" by Golden Goose have caused outrage online.

Elsewhere on Twitter, people are not convinced.
