'Fort Trump'? Polish President urges United States to consider opening base

The president of Poland told President Donald Trump that he'd like the United Statess to create a permanent American base in Poland that would be named Fort Trump.

Standing beside Trump at the White House news conference, Duda was unapologetic in his praise for Trump's leadership and business acumen as the Polish president pitched a military expansion that could reignite an old fight with Moscow over the proximity of USA forces to Russian Federation.

"I would like to invite the U.S. president to post more American troops to Poland".

"I firmly believe that this is possible", Duda said, saying it would be both in U.S. and Polish interests.

Trump said he and Duda agreed to bolster the United States and Poland's defense cooperation in military relations, intelligence, missile defense and training, and praised the country for meeting North Atlantic Treaty Organization goals on defense spending.

Trump said during a joint news conference with Duda that he was considering the idea and noted that Poland had offered more than $2 billion to the U.S. to pay for such an effort.

Warsaw had stated earlier it was ready to pay up to $2 billion to have a U.S. military base on its soil.

He then touted Poland's military buildup and said he wanted to buy more arms from the US.

Wade announces return to Heat for final season
The Miami Heat legend was taking his time, trying to decide if he wanted to return for another decision or retire. Let's push this young team over the hump and let's write our own story to the end of this career, together.

"The presence of the USA armed forces in this area is absolutely justified", Duda said.

A decision from the United States could come early next year. "I am convinced there is no more effective method of preventing a war than a decisive stance illustrating that we are ready at any moment to repel possible attack".

Poland has been pressing for the 3,000 US troops now deployed in Poland on a rotating basis to be upgraded to a larger, permanent presence as it faces Russia's increased military activity in the region.

"If they're willing to do that, it's something we will certainly talk about", Trump said.

Trump renewed his criticism of a planned new natural gas pipeline linking Germany with Russian Federation.

"I think it's a very aggressive situation", Trump said. "This will be my first time traveling to Africa and I am excited to educate myself on the issues facing children throughout the continent, while also learning about its rich culture and history", she said in an August statement, according to CNN. Last October, the U.S. sent a new mechanized brigade there.

"We are the piggy bank to the world". "I was smiling when I was talking to Mr President".
