The vision that's been circulating on social media is thought to have been taken after the forward led his team to a 4-0 victory over West Ham United in their league opener.

The clip continues to follow Mr Salah as he drives a few metres forward, the camera zooming in on his vehicle window to show the footballer still using his phone at the wheel.

In a footage circulating Twitter - presumed to be taken after the striker had led his team to a 4-0 victory over West Ham United on Sunday afternoon - the Egypt worldwide was filmed using his phone behind the wheel in traffic.

Recall that Liverpool referred an incident caught on video, of Salah allegedly using a cell phone while driving, to the Merseyside police.

Liverpool also confirmed that they had been made aware of the footage and a spokesman for the club said that they had passed it on to the authorities, with any further disciplinary action set to be dealt with "internally".

On the Goverment's official website it states that 'You can get 6 penalty points and a £200 fine if you use a hand-held phone when driving.

Merseyside Police said: "We have been made aware of a video believed to show a footballer using a mobile phone whilst driving".
