McDonald's is giving one lucky customer free McDonald's for life

McDonald's is giving away free food "for life" in a contest aimed at boosting the popularity of its online ordering system.

McDonald's is kicking off a new contest that will result in a lucky victor bumping the Amex from their wallet in favor of a new Gold Card. The card is valued at $52,350 and entitles the victor to two free meals per week for 50 years.

"For millennia, tales of ancient secrets have captivated mankind".

If McDonald's tops your list of foods you could eat for the rest of your life, you probably know all about the fast food chain's McGold card (and wish you had one).

So how did the McGold Card start?

"They're raising the bar".

PGA Championship: Tiger Woods in contention as Brooks Koepka leads
Resuming his weather-delayed round on the 12th hole Saturday, the Lehi resident made two more birdies and two bogeys to finish. Here's reaction from the top two golfers in the clubhouse, Woodland and Kisner. "It was nice", Woodland told reporters .

They'll also receive $15,600 for taxes, because they're about to owe Uncle Sam some serious currency (didn't anybody ever tell you that nothing in life is free?).

Although only "the most luminary" individuals are capable of holding the card, it thankfully does not take much effort to join those ranks.

The contest is part of a campaign by the company to get you to download its mobile app. The prize is valued at $52,350, according to the contest website. Yet, as with any contest, you can also just sent McDonald's an email at entry@amoeentry.com, with the date in the subject line and your first and last name in the email body. "Limit one (1) Entry per day (regardless of method)".

Since then, a small select number of McGold Cards have been given out to notable figures, ranging from the governor of MI to the king of Sweden.

However, if it's fun you're after, the victor will also receive a custom, one-of-a-kind 24-karat gold-plated McGold Card phone case, pictured above. The victor can also cash out the $1,000 app credit.

For more information on the sweepstakes and how to enter, go to McDonalds.com/MobileMcGoldCard or download the McDonald's App. "You have a much better chance of winning a state lottery than picking something like this up".
