North Korea's Kim enraged by officials during field visit

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that talks on Sunday between U.S. and North Korean officials to discuss the return of remains of U.S. service members killed in the 1950-53 Korean War "resulted in firm commitments" and that there would be a follow-up meeting on Monday.

In late June, the USA military said it had begun moving caskets to the Korean border village of Panmunjom in preparation for North Korea to return the remains of US soldiers who went missing in the 1950-53 Korean War. Likely discussion topics include the timeframe, number, and method of transporting the remains.

Despite criticisms from Pyongyang, Washington has maintained a positive outlook regarding bilateral talks, and Pompeo said Thursday in Brussels that he was confident that the North Korean government was committed to denuclearization. Just $5 a month.

According to documents seen by AFP, the U.S. sent a report to the United Nations sanctions committee that estimated at least 759,793 barrels of oil products had been delivered to North Korea between January 1 and May 30, well above the annual quota set at 500,000 barrels under a sanctions resolution adopted in December. The establishment media and their military industrial complex backers don't want to see peace in Korea, but even those who don't like Trump but manage to remain objective can see progress. The U.S. Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, or DPAA, which oversees the effort, has cautioned that the identification process is complicated and often takes years.

The general-level meeting between the United Nations Command and North Korea was the first of its kind since March 2009. The meeting was the first between a USA and North Korean general since March 2009. The multinational but U.S. -led U.N. Command was formed during the Korean War and now helps maintain the armistice on the peninsula.

The two leaders met and shook hands this afternoon in the Finnish capital as they headed into the private meeting . He also presented the president with a World Cup football, joking the "ball is in your court" over Syria.

"One can only speculate on why it happening now - but it seems that after the political situation surrounding North Korea calmed down, Kim switched his attention from diplomacy to the economy and the on-the-spot guidance - and he is not pleased".

There were reports leading up to Pompeo's most recent trip that North Korea has continued operating nuclear facilities.

He added that both the USA and North Korea would recommence field operations to search for additional American remains from the war.

US President Donald Trump holds up a document signed by him and North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un following a signing ceremony during their historic US-North Korea summit, at the Capella Hotel on Sentosa island in Singapore on June 12, 2018. Efforts then stalled for more than a decade because of tensions over North Korea's nuclear program and a previous USA claim that the security arrangement for its personnel working in the North was insufficient. North Korea's foreign ministry decried the U.S.as talks came to a close, for making what it called "rapacious" demands.
