Tropical Storm Chris tracking towards Atlantic Canada

The storm, once the second hurricane of 2018 in the Atlantic, weakened to a tropical storm on Thursday morning with 70 miles per hour winds. Odds for a shower or storm will be near A 20 to 30% daily baseline.

Northern Ireland and Scotland will be lashed by showers on Sunday before Wales and England face wet weather on Monday, the forecasting chart suggests.

As of the 10pm CDT hour, Chris has rapidly strengthened and is now classified as a Category 2 Hurricane.

"It's not unusual at all", she said.

The strongest winds should remain offshore according to Walsh but, areas of the Southern Shore, on the eastern side could see gusts up to 100 km/h.

Trump administration yanks health care away from more Americans
In January a federal court in MA ruled the formula wasn't arbitrary and capricious. The Maryland Insurance Administration has a hearing scheduled for July 31.

THE LONGER RANGE: From Friday into next week, expect mostly to partly sunny skies.

Tropical Storm Chris continues to meander about off the Carolina Coast with no real forcing at the moment to get it moving.

Chris is the second hurricane to form this month - a relatively rare occurrence for July.

Tyler Roys, forecaster for AccuWeather, said Scotland will suffer the worst effects of Storm Chris as it churns northeast towards the North Sea. There is a 50 percent chance it re-forms into a tropical system over the weekend as it tracks east in the Atlantic and away from land. As it reaches the colder Maritime waters, it will weaken to a post-tropical depression as it approaches the Avalon Penninsula of Newfoundland overnight Wednesday. The somewhat good news is we don't see a large shift in dew points from the low 70s over the next several days.

The rain will be much-needed for the United Kingdom that has been basking in a weeks-long heatwave, but it is still too early to write off the summer as warm weather is still expected over the coming week.
