Queen attends Westminster Abbey service to commemorate RAF's centenary

Harry and Meghan

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex joined Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, Queen Elizabeth, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla at the RAF Centenary where they all attended a Royal Air Force Westminster Abbey service.

"We have also had the consecration of the RAF's new colours in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace, in front of 1000 serving airmen and women".

"Tenacity, skill and gallantry have been your hallmarks as you have helped to safeguard freedom and security in many parts of the world", she said. The baptism will take place at the Chapel Royal of St. James' Palace in London, which just so happens to reportedly be where Meghan Markle was baptised prior to her wedding to Prince Harry.

Up to 100 aircraft took part in a flypast over London to mark 100 years of the Royal Air Force. "I remember the Battle of Britain being fought over the skies above us, and we shall never forget the courage and sacrifice of that time", she said.

Hundreds of incredible images poured in following the stunning display, which was watched from the balcony by the Royal Family.

The flypast was a centrepiece of events celebrating the RAF's centenary, with lines of invited personnel given a prime viewing position directly outside the palace gates.

Justice Department reopens probe of 1955 slaying of Emmett Till
The government has investigated 115 cases involving 128 victims under the "cold case" law named for Till, the report said. Relatives of Till pushed Attorney General Jeff Sessions to reopen the case previous year after publication of the book.

She was unable to attend the christening of Prince Louis of Cambridge on Monday, as she was traveling, but paying homage to Britain's military services is one of her most important roles as monarch. Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby highlighted how members of his own family have served and been killed in the RAF - drawing attention to his own father who flew in Burma.

Weather and serviceability dependent, it is expected the new cutting-edge stealth fighter F-35 jets will feature, as well as helicopters including the Puma, Chinook, Juno and Jupiter.

Drawing the spectacle to a close was the Red Arrows, who in traditional aerobatic style, streamed red, white and blue smoke down the length of the Mall.

The event marked the 100th anniversary of the world's oldest Air Force - the Royal Air Force - which was formed on April 1, 1918, independent of the British Army and Royal Navy.

Meghan wore a black Dior dress with a boatneck neckline and a matching Stephen Jones fascinator.
