Lovren ready for Kane test at World Cup

Lovren defending

Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren has had his fair share of critics, but on Wednesday, he played a key role in his country's 2-1 extra-time win over England in the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russian Federation.

'I took Liverpool to the final of the Champions League and now with my national team we are in the final.

"It's something special for me", Lovren said regarding the feat.

"I heard people saying I had a hard season but I don't agree with that", the 29-year-old told beIN SPORTS.

And the Liverpool central defender says Croatia were physically fitter and mentally stronger than England.

"Since I came in, maybe Dejan made three or four mistakes, two of them in the Tottenham game, maybe one in a Champions League game a year ago".

Apple Upgrades MacBook Pro With Improved Keyboard, True Tone Display, More
With the T2 Chip, Apple can deliver an enhanced security system with support for secure boot and on-the-fly encrypted storage. However, Apple is finally dealing with one of those issues with its update to the 13 and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.

"People are crying, they are happy in our country - this is something historical for us", Lovren said.

They had previously defeated Denmark and hosts Russian Federation on penalties, becoming the first team ever to advance to the final by winning three consecutive extra time games.

Klopp's comments come after Lovren claimed that based on his recent exploits, including with the Reds in the Champions League, people should view him as one of the world's best defenders. We showed our character, we showed that we deserved to be in the final and people should respect us.

"He's [Klopp] proud of me and what I've achieved". I deserve this. I went through a lot of s*** and it's coming back.

If Lovren and his team-mates can control Mbappe and manage the alternative threats of Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann on Sunday in Moscow, Croatia will have a genuine chance of pulling off a victory. "I don't understand these questions, why they're always looking back, when I made mistakes".

Lovren's part in Croatia's most famous World Cup run comes two years after he found himself frozen out of the national team set-up, following a disagreement with then-coach Ante Cacic.
