A homeless Florida man with no arms has been charged with stabbing a Chicago tourist

An armless homeless man in Miami, Florida has been charged with stabbing a Chicago tourist with scissors.

According to the Miami Herald, Crenshaw is a popular fixture in South Beach, where he is known for painting canvas using his feet on the Lincoln Road Mall.

Crenshaw told officers he was lying down when Coronado punched him in the head, according to an arrest report obtained by the Miami Herald.

Crenshaw allegedly said he used his feet to grab a pair of scissors from his suitcase and stabbed Coronado twice.

Coronado, a tourist visiting from Chicago, and a friend told police that Coronado had only asked for directions before the alleged attack, the Miami New Times reports. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Crenshaw, who told police he acted in self-defense, was being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.
