YouTube Music is official: packed with playlists, radio and music videos

One thing to note is that, under the new service, subscribers will not be able to purchase premium video content alone, meaning the Music and Premium services must be purchased together.

The new service promises "a reimagined mobile app and brand new desktop player that are designed for music" and access to thousands of playlists, millions of songs, albums, artist radio and all the music videos you could want.

In addition, the company will be rebranding its YouTube Red subscription service as YouTube Premium, which will check in at a price point of $11.99 f0r new users.

But Google is about to change that by launching a new music streaming service- YouTube Music on May 22. Current YouTube Red subscribers will automatically become YouTube Premium subscribers.

"YouTube Music search works even if fans don't know exactly what they're looking for... we'll find it if they describe it [try "that hipster song with the whistling"]". And if you're an existing Red subscriber, or sign up quickly before Premium launches, you can lock in the existing $9.99 monthly rate and still get all the benefits of Premium and Music.

Win will give us wings: Modric
We just started and we know it won't be easy. "Not if we play the way we did against Iceland ", Ardiles signed off. For that to happen we have to substantially change everything about the way we played the first game.

YouTube's new music streaming service will be launched next week, May 22, Google has confirmed. YouTube Music will borrow the Spotify model and will be available as a free, ad-supported model and as well as a premium ad-free version.

YouTube Music's personalized home screen dynamically adapts to provide recommendations based on people's listening history, where they are and what they're doing. YouTube Premium will also offer ad-free viewing, background play and downloads for offline viewing.

YouTube is promising an expanded slate of original content including comedies, dramas, reality series and action adventure shows from the U.K., Germany, France, Mexico and more.

YouTube Red was great, but now it's being supplanted by YouTube Premium and it will cost more as of Tuesday. The service will expand to 14 other countries in the second stage of the rollout. The main focus here is the paid plan though, as it will be the only way to enable background listening - a pretty important feature for music.
