Roseanne Barr Claims Planet of the Apes Tweet Was About Anti-Semitism

Roseanne Barr Resurfaces on Twitter to Talk Malcolm X, Kanye West’s Album and NOT Being Racist

In her latest tweetstorm, Barr also sought to assure supporters that she is doing "fine".

Just weeks after her show was canceled following a racist tweet aimed at Valerie Jarrett - in which compared the former Obama adviser to "Planet of the Apes" - Roseanne continued to defend herself.

Now the 65-year-old actress has said that her comment about Jarrett actually referred to the Iran nuclear deal.

Roseanne Barr reemerged on social media to update her fans on her mental well-being and what the future may have in store for her. "I've been using this time2 reflect &2 gain insight on what I said & how it was misunderstood", Barr said.

Before the message in support of West, Barr once again insisted she was not a racist and claimed her comments had been "misunderstood", also saying she had been watching a documentary about civil rights activist Malcolm X. "I have faith in the American people to free their minds & unite". "Low IQ ppl (people) can think whatever they want". Barr has not previously mentioned the anti-semitism angle. I've never practiced "RACISM" in my entire life & never will.

"Guys, I have been planting trees digging in the earth singing and feeling a great deal of relief", she tweeted. "I see clearly now", she added about the past couple of weeks.

She then concluded with a shout-out to Kanye West which she called the "the greatest thing ever". "I have developed a bit of palsy in my head and hands due to the stress I have lived thru - I sleep alot now - without ambien too, thank GOD!"

"Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have chose to cancel her show", ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement at the time.

She also said she was not as reliant on the drug ambien, which she claimed she was under the influence of when she sent the offending tweet. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks.
