Sony holds annual PlayStation press conference at E3 2018

SONYPS4 is rumoured to be getting PS3 backwards compatibility- could it be revealed by Sony at E3 2018

Sony and E3 go hand-in-hand, with the company taking to the stage every year to showcase the latest PlayStation developments.

The strength of Sony's games library has always been accepted to be its exclusive titles, and the firm chose to focus on such titles - the likes of The Last Of Us Part II and Spider-Man - as it opened its E3 show.

All of these games have been spoken about prior to the release but during the presentation PlayStation dug deeper on the games with lengthy trailers and walk-throughs.

If that's not enough, Sony is also running a Days of Play sale that runs throughout E3 and beyond, and provides great discounts on software and hardware alike.

The second last press conference at E3 2018 is hosted by Sony.

Sticking with Sony's trend of a prime-time conference slot, the show starts at 6 p.m. PT on June 11.

Death Stranding created by iconic game designer Hideo Kojima focuses around Sam Bridges (The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus) who is combating a "world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding". It's an eight-minute look at the game, and yes, it's still as weird as ever and no, there's no shortage of babies in jars.

Two tweets and an insult spoil G-7 unity
Mr Trump's state visit in November will coincide with the 6th ASEAN-US Summit and 13th East Asia Summit. Navarro said Trump "did the courtesy to Justin Trudeau to travel up to Quebec for that summit".

One trailer that got the most attention was "The Last of Us Part II" which showed two women kissing then transitioning seamlessly into the title character Ellie cutting a person's throat. Despite starting in a warm and lighthearted manner, it's not long before Ellie gets thrown into the nitty-gritty action you can expect from the game.

The show opened with The Last of Us composer, Gustavo Santaolalla performing a live rendition of the game's soundtrack in an intimate town hall setting.

Another game to have its gameplay unveiled for the first time was Sucker Punch's Ghost Of Tsushima, the Samurai action adventure set in Japan. This game has a release date: September 7, this could be a United States date but its a date nonetheless. The game features combat and stealth mechanics which look similar to those found in Assassin's Creed.

Find out all you need to know about Spider-Man (PS4) ahead of release. As well as appearing in both the Microsoft and Square Enix press conferences, Kingdom Hearts 3 made an appearance during Sony's E3 2018 presser.

A trailer for [link=g5b1f32ba3e48a] Remedy Entertainment's new game revealed a supernatural thriller called Control which is slated for release next year.

No release date was detailed.

One of the biggest cheers of the night came at the revelation of a new remake of horror classic Resident Evil 2. Here is a jot-point look at what Sony announced during their press conference, and what is coming out in 2018 and beyond. The game is planned to release on January 25th, 2019, adding another title to next year's lineup.
