Fox News Bans Guest Analyst Who Said Torture 'Worked' on John McCain

Sen. John Mc Cain receives the Liberty Medal from the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia in October

On Thursday, Sadler attempted to make a joke about Senator John McCain's opposition to Central Intelligence Agency nominee Gina Haspel by saying "he's dying anyway", an attempt at humor that reportedly "fell flat". The comment was made in reference to the Senator from Arizona's battle with stage four glioblastoma.

U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) (C) talks to reporters on his way to vote on the Senate floor at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, October 12, 2013. The official who originally leaked the comment said that although Sadler meant the remark to be a joke, it fell flat with its audience. Rucker is the White House Bureau Chief for The Washington Post.

Axios reported Saturday that while Sanders said Sadler's comment was inappropriate, that did not justify leaking it to the media. "The man is practically on his death bed from brain cancer".

Family and friends were outraged and showed their immediate support for the Senator's decision including fellow Arizona Senator Jeff Flake, Virg Senator Tim Kaine, John's wife Mrs.Cindy McCain, and his daughter, Meghan McCain.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said at a news briefing Friday that she would not "validate a leak" or comment on an internal staff meeting.

Further clashes expected on Israel's border with Gaza
Rioters were also "launching kites with burning items attached to them with the intention of igniting fires in Israeli territory". The embassy is partly in predominantly Jewish West Jerusalem and partly in predominantly Arab East Jerusalem.

Haspel, the CIA's acting director, issued a statement: "I have the utmost respect for Senator McCain and I appreciate the thoughtfulness with which he has approached this nomination process". The White House has not denied that the comments were made by Sadler. "We're really strong, there's so much more love and prayer and wonderful energy being generated towards us than anything negative at all", she responded. "It happened yesterday (Thursday)", Biden said in a striking statement.

The White House did not dispute the remark but said in a statement: "We respect Senator McCain's service to our nation and he and his family are in our prayers during this hard time". Rucker also is a Political Analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. Our children learn from our example.

The former vice president called McCain, the 2008 Republican nominee for president, a "genuine hero" who "deserves better" as he struggles with cancer.

The incident came the same day a retired Air Force general called McCain "songbird John" during an appearance on Fox Business Network for allegedly providing information to the North Vietnamese while he was a prisoner of war.
