Instagram Stories Is Adding an Emoji Slider for Optimal Expression

Introducing the emoji slider

The new Emoji Sliders are a great way to engage your friends on Instagram by letting them "vote" using a sliding scale instead of a YES/NO type question.

Instagram has rolled out the best feature for its polling option in Stories and it's an emoji slider to rate the polls.

While Facebook is still entangled in lawsuits, it's photo-sharing platform Instagram has successfully managed to keep itself away from all the heat and is continuously launching new features.

Adding an emoji scale is just like adding a poll.

And you thought that managing your own Instagram account was hard!

Select on the "Stories" button. Open the camera section of the app and take a picture or a video.

The Mets just batted out of order, costing them a scoring opportunity
Reds: There's no set plan for when Harvey will pitch or whether he'll be used as a starter or reliever initially. The Mets designated Harvey for assignment on May 4 after he refused a request from the Mets to go to the minors.

After tapping the slider, you can set a question and choose an emoji of your choice for the poll. For example, "How much do you love pizza?" could have anything from ☹️ to, with a slider that has a bunch more emojis in between.

The emoji slider has been created to let you ask more nuanced questions when you want to find out how your friends feel about something.

Additionally, as with any other story, you can click on the bottom left icon to see who has viewed your story, now with the added context of what specific emoji rating each person responded with.

These interactive and easy-to-use features differentiate it with some originality and ingenuity as Instagram stories have gained a lot of popularity by copying a ton of Snapchat's ideas. The Vitamin Shoppe is launching 800 (!) new Instagram accounts ...

After you take your photo or video in Instagram Stories, you can add an emoji slider sticker from the tray.
