Royals game in Toronto postponed due to falling ice chunks, roof damage

KC columnist calls out Jays' boasting tweet after game cancellation at Rogers Centre

This would be the third game cancellation in a row for the Blue Jays, who had games Saturday and Sunday against the Cleveland Indians cancelled at Progressive Field due to heavy rain. But, even in their climate-controlled stadium, the Jays couldn't escape nature's elements and will assess their options for Monday night's game against the Kansas City Royals.

The Blue Jays' home game Monday against the Royals has been postponed because of weather-related damage to Toronto's Rogers Centre roof, including a large hole created by falling ice from the nearby CN Tower.

Instead, the game will be made up Tuesday as part of a traditional doubleheader beginning at 3:07 p.m. ET. Workers toiled to close the roof and the team laid out a tarp to cover the affected areas of the field, but the Jays called off the game about 90 minutes before the scheduled first pitch. Authorities say no injuries have been reported.

James Comey Is Right About Impeachment
The point, according to Comey, is that the story seems "possible", rather than outlandish, because of Trump's moral deficiencies. Comey's comments in an ABC News interview broadcast Sunday were nearly certain to escalate his war of words with the president.

Yes, the Rogers Centre roof had ice fall on it from the CN Tower, which, as any Google image search reveals, is located right there at the stadium. It is adjacent to the CN Tower, an 1,815-feet-high structure that is among Canada's most recognizable landmarks.

Toronto has been in the grip of an ice storm since the start of the weekend, causing power outages and scrambling travel plans, including for thousands of commuters Monday.
