President Trump's attorney Michael Cohen to appear in court

Meanwhile four protesters stood outside the club with picket signs and a Trump banner. Daniels attorney Michael Avenatti tweeted about the protesters Saturday night taking a swipe at Trump's personal lawyer

In a court filing on Sunday night, lawyers for Trump asked to be allowed to review documents that in any way relate to the president.

The FBI raided his office and home in Manhattan earlier this month and seized documents, cell phones and recordings Cohen took of his conversations.

U.S. federal Judge Kimba Wood has ordered Cohen to attend the hearing, scheduled for 2:00 pm (1800 GMT), in what will pit a powerful USA attorney's office against lawyers for Cohen and the president.

The judge overseeing the request, Kimba Wood, took no action Friday in part because Cohen's lawyer failed to produce a client list, which she said she needed to assess his concerns.

Cohen sought a temporary restraining order last week to prevent prosecutors from reviewing the information, claiming that it was covered by attorney-client privilege.

Investigators are looking for the possible secrete deals that Cohen may have made to protect candidate Trump, one of them with adult film star Stormy Daniels.

The last instance in recent months of Cohen tweeting about #fakenews came from Juan Pablo Andrade, a policy advisor at the pro-Trump think tank America First Policies.

Court papers indicate President Trump's personal attorney has been the subject of a months-long investigation and that numerous crimes he is suspected of have "nothing to do with his work as an attorney"; chief White House correspondent John Roberts reports.

Vincent Kompany did, with images showing the City captain celebrating at his in-laws' house where he was having dinner. City could yet finish the season with the most points, goals and wins from a single Premier League campaign.

Russian Federation has denied interfering in the election and Trump has said there was no collusion. "Attorney client privilege is dead", he exclaimed. Cohen paid her $130,000 to keep quiet.

The eight-page letter written by Trump's lawyer, Joanna Hendon, accuses the Justice Department of acting in "an aggressive, intrusive, and unorthodox manner" in an attempt to "eliminate the president's right to a full assertion of every privilege argument available to him".

Cohen has petitioned the US District Court for the Southern District of NY, seeking a temporary restraining order to delay prosecutors' review of documents and devices seized in the raid, claiming it's protected by attorney-client privilege.

The "growing public debate", in other words, is largely a function of Cohen's primary client, Donald Trump, thanks to his outsize platform as president of the United States.

The next phase is a battle over the procedures involving who may review the materials seized by FBI investigators last week.

President Donald Trump and his attorney Michael Cohen are in the process of fighting the government's review of files the Federal Bureau of Investigation seized pursuant to search warrants on Cohen's office and home.

The request comes after Cohen's home, hotel room, and office were raided by F.B.I. agents on April 9. Cohen's lawyer is asking for the lawyers themselves to review the material or a "special master" to decide what is relevant to the case, and Hendon is concerned about a taint team or however the material is handled.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has subpoenaed business records from the Trump Organization, and his investigators may eventually interview Greenblatt and Weisselberg.
