Shakib leads Sunrisers to victory over Kolkata

Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match and astrologer believes that SRH will emerge victorious.

Pandey took two outstanding catches to send Nitish Rana (18; 16b 2x4 1x6) and Andre Russell (9; 5b 0x4 1x6) - back in the hut as SRH bowlers took control after a rain-induced halt when KKR were going steady at 52/1.

Victory for SRH, however, was set up by the returning Bhuvneshwar Kumar, whose 3 for 26 from his four overs led the bowling effort, while Billy Stanlake and Shakib picked up two each. They will first look to address that.

SRH has managed to snatch 3 players - Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, and Shakib Al-Hasan from KKR this season.

He bowled with great discipline and variety, tying the KKR batsmen down and taking the early wicket of Robin Uthappa.

KKR captain Dinesh Karthik was not happy with his batsman. Although Bhuvneshwar Kumar's absence paved way for Sandeep Sharma in the side.

Yankees-Tigers doubleheader called off
The Tigers have a scheduled off day on Monday and then will start a three-game home series against the Baltimore Orioles. Francisco Liriano is scheduled to start game one while Matthew Boyd is scheduled to start game two for the Tigers.

Earlier, a splendid bowling show spearheaded by pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, coupled with a brilliant fielding display, helped Hyderabad restrict KKR to a modest 138/8 in a rain-interrupted first innings. Russell has been bowling with good pace as well, but reports of him sporting a hamstring supporter during training sessions cast his bowling into some doubt. The 2018 U-19 World Cup victor will be replaced by Karnataka fast bowler Prasidh Krishna. KKR have been playing three spinners, and given how much trouble Markande caused SRH, that is unlikely to change.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has had 12 encounters with KKR across all venues and Kolkata stands tall with 8 wins.

Not quite in his elements today, Rashid could not pick up a wicket but ensured he wasn't taken to the cleaners in four decent overs.

In the 10th match of this season IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders meets Sunrisers Hyderabad at Kolkata.

Shami has turned out in all the three matches for DD and a team official said there's no question of his availability as it remains to be seen where there's also a courtroom battle in the offing.
