Malema's scuffle with security at Mama Winnie's funeral

Mourners carry the coffin of the late Winnie Madikizela Mandela in Orlando West Soweto South Africa

The party says it's important to remember the struggle icon's message.

Earlier, Malema's speech opened up all wounds when he directly addressed the fallen hero and said, "Mama, there are sell-outs here".

Zenani, who struggled to hold back tears while speaking at Madikizela-Mandela's funeral at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg, lambasted the media for "peddling lies" about her mother and her contribution to the struggle, and only tell the truth when she was dead.

Addressing the 8th African Regional Executive Committee meeting, in Dakar, Senegal last Thursday, the Vice President (Africa) of the Geneva-based Industriall Global Union, Aremu, said "sustaining the legacies of Winnie Mandela amounts to throwing apartheid permanently into the dust-bin of history, failing which Africa risks resurrection of the evil of apartheid which Winnie courageously confronted at immeasurable costs".

Ramaphosa said Madikizela-Mandela spoke of many thoughts she had about how the revolutionary ideals and morality of her movement should be restored and not be undermined by corruption and self-enrichment.

"I am here not to bury Mama, because mothers don't die. It is so disappointing to see how they withheld their words during my mother's lifetime, knowing very well what they would have meant to her", said Dlamini.

"I'm here to look at your grandchildren in the eyes and tell them that they will never be treated like they've got leprosy for as long as I'm still alive", Malema said to yet more loud cheers.

Madikizela Mandela was laid to rest at Fourways Memorial Park.

Police are reportedly investigating an alleged scuffle between Police VIP protection unit and EFF members Julius Malema and fellow Member of Parliament Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.

Malema also said that Ramaphosa was Madikizela-Mandela's President and not Zuma, who had ignored her.
