Gmail may have self-destructing "confidential" emails soon

Here are six changes that you will see when Google launches its new look in May. It has been acclaimed for its simplicity, robust feature set and usability. The changes are expected to be effective in the coming weeks.

These features, which have been available in Microsoft's Outlook desktop app for sometime now, should appeal to business users who want more granular controls over how emails are used by recipients.

For those of us who can't deal with the onslaught of messages in our inbox but really need to do not forget to reply to a certain message, Google will be offering some help in the form of a snooze button. There will also be a snooze feature which lets you snooze conversations and allows you to temporarily delete the emails from your inbox for a selected time limit. Because of the decentralized, protocol-based nature of email, the ability of Google to unilaterally change the access requirements of a given email appears limited.

In a statement to The Verge, Google revealed: "We're working on some major updates to Gmail (they're still in draft phase)". Many Windows 10 users rely on Gmail for sending and receiving emails and we're sure you'll really like the following improvements. Improving the Gmail experience for users has been one of Google's priorities for quite a while now, and it looks like the company is considering enhancing Gmail's functionality with even more new features. Users will be able to choose from one week, one month or a couple of years for when they want the email to disappear. Google uses machine learning to tune Smart Reply's suggestions to your writing style, so the more you use it, the more useful it gets.

Beyoncé Becomes First Black Female to Headline Coachella
During her two-hour set, Bey managed four separate wardrobe changes and killed all of them in heels. Beyoncé took to the stage during Day 2 of Coachella and she basically slayed our entire existence.

TechCrunch first confirmed the feature, including screenshots that reveal how it will work. This is because Google is now asking their users to confirm their Google account to view the confidential email.

The feature also includes a confidential mode which will prevent the recipient of the email from forwarding, downloading, printing or copying and pasting text from the email. The recipient will have to log into their Google account to view it and you won't be able to copy and paste the message itself (although you can still apparently screen shot it). Not to mention if users OR senders are utilising POP3/IMAP/SMTP to access their inbox.

Unfortunately, for all the precautions included in Gmail's new Confidential Mode, it is impossible to prevent users from taking a screenshot of the contents of an email.
