Philadelphia Eagles' Daryl Worley arrested, report says; team releases statement

The Eagles on Sunday confirmed Worley's arrest and issued a statement that read, "We are in the process of gathering more information about Daryl Worley's arrest this morning". Per the report, a taser was administered after Worley was combative with police. A gun was reportedly found. Worley is being held at Philadelphia police headquarters.

Worley, 23, is a Philadelphia native who returned home last month when the Birds acquired him in a trade with the Panthers.

Officers responded to Broad and Pattison Sunday morning, where they found Worley asleep in his vehicle on the highway.
