YouTubers say crackdown on offensive videos has gone too far

Product manager Vadim Lavrusik was among the first to tweet out news of the incident.

San Bruno's city manager told Dow Jones there was no immediate threat at YouTube, CNBC reported.

Police in Northern California are responding to reports of a shooting at YouTube headquarters in the city of San Bruno.

The city has responded with a "massive police and fire response".

Google Communications putout a message on Twitter saying they are coordinating with authorities and will provide official information from Google and YouTube as it becomes available.

A witness who was working at a nearby Carl's Jr. told local TV outlet KTVU that he helped treat a woman who came into the restaurant after being was shot in the leg in the adjacent parking lot.
