Terrorist neutralised in Budgam encounter

Today on specific input regarding presence of militants in Budgam police, 53 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Khan Mohalla, Arizal jurisdiction of Police station Beerwah.

Budgam: Security personnel on Sunday neutralised a terrorist in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The militants in an attempt to flee, came out of the house and began firing indiscriminately, to which the forces retaliated, killing one militant.

"The militants fired indiscriminately on the search party after coming out of a house". A civilian woman was also injured in the encounter but is said to be in stable condition.

A militant was killed and a teenage girl sustained bullet wounds in a pre-dawn brief gunfight.
