De'Andre Hunter will miss NCAA Tournament with broken wrist

The Virginia Cavaliers will enter the 2018 NCAA Tournament without De'Andre Hunter who has a broken left wrist, as announced by the University on Tuesday evening. He hurt his left wrist during the ACC Tournament, according to the school, which did not disclose when or how the injury occurred. Hunter is expected to make a full recovery and be sidelined for 10 to 12 weeks. But it just got a lot harder for the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament to break through. He averaged 9.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 33 games for the Cavaliers. He reached double figures in scoring in 16 games and led U.Va.in scoring in six games.

Hunter's departure leaves No. 1 seed Virginia (31-2) with only seven rotation players heading into the NCAA Tournament. Hunter was named ACC Co-Rookie of the Week following his 22-point performance at Miami on February 18.

Lead exposure increases risk for premature deaths & cardiovascular diseases
Lead has always been marked out as a toxic substance and has been phased out since the 1990s to reduce its environmental impact. The average blood lead level was 2.7 μg/dL, and a total of 3,632 study participants had a level of 5 μg/dL or higher.

He scored his season-high 23 points November 19 in U.Va.'s 73-53 win against Monmouth.

With Hunter out, U.Va. will likely rely even more on key bench players Nigel Johnson at guard and Mamadi Diakite at forward. The 6-foot-7 redshirt freshman averaged 12.3 points per game since January 3, scoring both from the low block and from behind the arc.
