WhatsApp 'Delete for Everyone' message time limit extended

Whatsapp

WhatsApp has increased the deadline for when a user can apply the "Delete for everyone" feature in a group or private message. Back in October past year the UK's most popular messaging client, WhatsApp, introduced "delete for everyone" to facilitate such actions based on your second thoughts.

If someone now sends you a hilarious YouTube video you don't have to leave the app to view it anymore. A recent update allows footages from video-sharing site view directly within the app.

All you have to do is tap the play button and the video will launch in a floating window which can then be moved around the screen.

There are a multitude of reasons why, after sending an "instant message" that you might want to edit, erase, or revoke it. It is now allowing users to tag a location, as well as the current time, on any photos and videos sent to a recipient.

If you owe your friends money, WhatsApp has a simple new method to pay them back - without leaving your chat window.

Petr Cech stars as Arsenal exact revenge on Watford
Cech registered his 200th Premier League clean sheet, the first goalkeeper to achieve this feat in the competition's history. Aubameyang made it 2-0 for Arsenal 14 minutes into the second half with a left-footed shot.

The chat app has apparently changed the algorithm now.

The rollout comes after a beta trial of the new peer-to-peer payment system on almost a million users.

The Facebook-owned messaging app will now push-out the functionality to every user in India - its biggest market, it has confirmed. It started launching a limited service in India, where it holds over 200 million users. Hackers have been abusing the Delete for All feature to delete messages sent years rather than minutes ago, and the app now makes additional checks to make sure messages no older than 24 hours can be deleted.

As the report points out, one of the problems is that if the phone is switched off during the time the "Delete for Everyone" request is sent out, and remains off for the next 24 hours, then the request will be considered invalid and the message will continue to remain on the group or chat, even if it was deleted for others. You can hide your last seen time.
