Scientology to tell its side on new TV network

So claims one promo for the Church of Scientology's newly announced TV network named, fittingly enough, The Scientology Network.

Running the app reveals a placeholder announcement that content will officially launch at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. P.T. on Monday; and a Twitter account looks also ready to go.

Actress Leah Remini and filmmaker Paul Haggis are among the former industryites who have sounded the alarm about the organization and its leadership. The comment seems to be targeting Remini's TV series and the award-winning documentary without a direct reference.

Soon, you'll be able to watch the Church of Scientology on its very own TV network. The countdown spot featured several young women talking up the org's offerings and hinting at the general public perception of its tarnished reputation.

PSG to probe noise, firecrackers at Real Madrid hotel
Without continued progress in the Champions League , it will be a long couple of months until the end of the season for Real. But Valverde rejected speculation Neymar could make a sensational return to Barcelona after a single season with PSG.

What's interesting, though, is there isn't much indication yet about what the content will be.

Programming for the channel is produced by Scientology Media Productions, which launched in May of 2016. Scientology in 2011 acquired the Los Feliz studio lot that was home for decades to public TV station KCET Los Angeles. It's unclear what the full slate is, but the official app promises "your favorite shows" like Meet a Scientologist, Voices for Humanity, L. Ron Hubbard: In His Own Voice and Scientology Principles films.

The Scientology Network is set to debut tomorrow evening on DirecTV, as well as on connected-TV platforms such as Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire and Google Chromecast, according to promotional material from the church. Scientology has been expected by longtime observers to beef up its high-end media production infrastructure after it acquired the KCET lot.
